DIRK B.G. DIRKSEN and DAMON M.MOLLOY have been producing event, education, training, awareness and advocacy video projects for broadcast, cable and home distribution for more than 20 years.

Dirk Dirksen has been producing television programming since 1957, including the legendary weekly twelve hour live program"ROCKET TO STARDOM" for KTTV Los Angeles. Later he was the creative glue behind the teen soap opera"NEVER TOO YOUNG" for the ABC-TV Network in the mid-60's. He found himself as the driving force behind the new music revolution of the mid-70's with the seminal avant-garde theatres the Mabuhay Gardens and the On Broadway Theatre which broke all boundaries of music and art through that turbulent period in music. Founding the DMP organization in 1974 Mr. Dirksen has provided his extensive experiece as Executive Producer of all DMP/Dirksen-Molloy Productions.

Damon Molloy is a second generation video professional and television producer.(His father taught Television Sytem Analysis for Pacific Bell for close to 15 years) His Director credits include"B-BALL: THE TEAM THAT NEVER LOST A GAME", The feature length documentary"JITTERBUGGIN" and most recently the Human Resource training video "ACCOMMODATING EMPLOYEES AND JOB APPLICANTS WITH PSYCHIATRIC DISABILITIES IN THE WORKPLACE" for the PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES FOUNDATION.

Together the team have completed many varied projects such as:"FIFTY YEARS IN SEARCH OF PEACE" a one hour television special which commemorated the fiftieth anniversary of the signing of the United Nations Charter in San Francisco in 1945, which featured President Clinton speaking from San Francisco's Opera House, and included appearances by President Ford and President Carter. The program was satellite fed and broadcast throughout the World in 1995.

The Dirk Dirksen Presents release "DEAD KENNEDY'S VIDEO DOCUMENTARY", is a ground breaking one hour live concert capturing the moment by moment real time concert recorded with state of the art equipment on the closing night of the legendary On Broadway Theatre and Nightclub June 16, 1984 marking the end of that seminal era.

Since 1990 Dirksen-Molloy Productions have produced more than 440 episodes of the comedy, music and arts based broadcast television program "COSMOS SAN FRANCISCO" which airs on KTSF TV 26.
DMP has produced commercials and/or Electronic Press Kits for Virgin Records, Atlantic Records, Dreamworks and many other mainstream and independent record labels for use on Cosmos San Francisco and other markets nationwide.

Dirksen-Molloy Productions have and continue to produced documentaries, advocacy and public service campaigns for many non-profit organizations including:

, People With Disabilities Foundation, United Nations Associations (numerous), Unity Foundation, Abolition 2000, Club of Budapest, Project SEED, Museum of San Francisco and Historical Society, Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers, The Writing Edge Bar Review Course, San Francisco Law School, University of San Francisco School of Law, Exploratorium, Coleman Advocates for Children and Youth, The Walden House Foundation, San Francisco Mime Troupe....and many more.

Dirksen-Molloy Productions is also home to the public information program
"POSITIVE SPIN" produced by Unity Foundation of San Francisco and Los Angeles, currently in its sixth year, is cablecast in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other markets nationally and is sattelite distributed on the DISH Network on FreeSpeech TV nationwide.

In 1994 Unity Foundation commissioned DMP to mount a live interactive 70 minute video bridge broadcast, "WITH LOVE FROM SAN FRANCISCO TO SARAJEVO", featuring an interactive discussion of the war in Sarajevo and the help US Citizens could provide.

In 1992 the team produced a hearing loss prevention training video"CAN'T HEAR YOU KNOCKING" for H.E.A.R.( Hearing, Education, Awareness, for Rockers) featuring some of the worlds most well know musicians. This video has won many awards and has been up dated several times. It is used in high schools and libraries around the nation.
Over the past 15 years we have produced numerous videos and PSA campaigns for The Janet Pomeroy Center (formerly the Recreation Center for the Handicapped in San Francisco) a partial list of the projects include: " A SEASON FOR CHAMPIONS" (The Supported Employment Story),"ACCESS TO SUCCESS" (The Janet Pomeroy Center documentary), "THEATRE UNLIMITED STORY", " WHAT WE DO BEST","BODY TALK" ,"MAY DAY CABARET" ,"SAY RAY","ACTS OF ROOMINATION","BRAVO CAFÉ", "NO TIME FOR SILENCE, THE SANDRA JENSEN STORY" plus "BRAINSTORM EXERCISE VIDEO", "POSTCARD FROM CAMP", and assorted PSAs and fund raisers,"WE REMEMBER ROY","WALK AND PLAY", "WE RIDE SO THAT OTHERS MAY WALK","MAKE A CIRCUS","ENCHANTED JOURNEY" ,"KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COMPUTER LAB", "THE JANET POMEROY STORY: A GIFT TO THE COMMUNITY, A GIFT TO THE WORLD" and many, many more.

 

Currently Dirksen-Molloy Productions are working on "COSMOSAURUS" a collection of the comedy segments which originally aired on Cosmos San Francisco.
