Ron Jones, a San Francisco native, has been heralded as one of the most influential storytellers of our time. Telling stories from the first person has always been a deeply personal experience, for the teller, and the audience. Exploring his youth growing up in The City, the tight family relationships, the openness of his parents to those in need, and the realities of everyday life, Ron Jones' stories offer an entertaining, yet insightful view of the difficulties of youth and the perils of adult life.

Through his storytelling abilities Ron Jones can transcend personal experience to a new and hightened level. With stories such as The Chair, Ron explores the relationship between Father and Son, the realities of the modern world, and the personal thoughts of one human being.

To really understand the world of Ron Jones one must only view his Spoken Word film THE WAVE.

THE WAVE is the unusual story of a first year high school history teacher caught between idealistic students, tow the line administration, and extremely turbulent times. This unique one man stage presentation is a riveting account of his visit to Nuremberg and the exorcism of Adolf Hitlers personal domain.

Videotaped live at the Solo Mio Festival June 12, 1994 This powerful story is told one on one to you, the viewer, brought into the inescapable reality of what were and still are the prejudices of the world.

MINT JAMMIN' Ron Jones' first compilation video contains unique stories of growing up in the 1950's, not of our glorified memories, but of a realistic, fun loving boy who slowly realizes what it means to be a teenager in The City, and what it means to be a good person. Stories of first bus rides across town to a new school, an entirely new world, how to be cool in the face of adversity, and the Chief of Police.

Through his insightful accounts of his Mother (a chorus line dancer), his Father (a freespirit trombone player) and live-in instant brothers and sisters, Ron delves deep into the world of his youth and the experiences of growing up in a world far different than that of pre-war America.

Through such stories as Mind Technicians, The Insect Lady, and Birds you cannot help but be drawn into the mind and thoughts of Ron Jones, only to re-interpret, and make his thoughts your own.

The Pond, Winner of the 21st annual Cin(E)Poetry film festivals Grand Prize Tao-Tzu Award, invites the viewer to experience the pure Zen of skinny dipping in a wonderful place in the back of everyones mind.

B-BALL The Team That Never Lost A Game is the story of The Recreation Center for the Handicapped's Special Olympics Basketball Team, or rather why they are no longer a Special Olympics Basketball Team. Winner of the Superfest Award of Merit for Technical Excellence B-Ball tells the story of one manís fight to find his place in the world, only to be told that he was "chosen by god" to coach the RCH Wildcats and to discover that maybe this is home after all.

Ron Jones, a two time pulizer prize nominee, writer of The Acorn People, The Wave,  B-Ball and numerous short stories, has now taken on an entirely new type of storytelling with his feature-length video/storytelling project, JITTERBUGGIN', which premiered Valentines Day, February 14, 2000 at the Cowell Theatre San Francisco.

JITTERBUGGIN' encompasses Ron's entire life, from his early youth growing up on 46th Avenue in the Sunset District of San Francisco to living in the ever unpredictable 1990âs and into the millenium.

JITTERBUGGIN' fills in the gaps of Mint Jammin', B-Ball and The Wave, rounding out these stories and finally giving closure to his youth, defining his place in the world, and leaves the viewer with a major question; one we all must answer, but most cannot define.
